When Windows crashes and displays the dreaded “blue screen of death,” minidump files are created and can be viewed with BlueScreenView, a free, lightweight program. A Bug Check Code and four parameters detailing the crash itself will also be displayed. The filename, product name, file description, and file version of the driver/module are reported, as are other details about the driver/module that may have contributed to the crash.
