Description

CrystalDiskInfo Download For Windows is a useful program that checks the status of your hard drives. It shows as much data as it can find from the internal and external drives of the computer, including the solid-state drives (SSDs) and hard disk drives (HDDs). Direct access from the program’s UI or instant alerts in the event of a failing drive make this information easily accessible.

If one of the monitored systems experiences an issue, the program can be set up to send you an Alert. You can customize the program’s data refresh rate as well as activate Sound Alerts and Email Alerts. Choosing how long the program waits to open after startup and activating or disabling auto-detection are two other preferences you can adjust.

Only hard drives with an internal ATA controller (IDE or Parallel ATA) will be recognized by CrystalDiskInfo (Chipset included). A subset of USB-HDD is supported by Crystal Disk Info. When connected to an external ATA controller, RAID disks, as well as IDE (Parallel ATA) and Serial ATA disks, are incompatible with CrystalDiskInfo.

Even if you’re not particularly tech-savvy, CrystalDiskInfo can help you learn more about your hard drive’s technical characteristics and determine whether or not everything is working as it should be. We suggest HD Tune or GSmartControl if you want to try out some other free options.

Your drives’ health status and temperature sensor data (if available) are displayed in a bar across the top of the CrystalDiskInfo interface. If you click on a drive icon, you can see its specifics in the primary window. Our SSD C drive was the default for program launch. There was a name, model number, and storage capacity shown by CrystalDiskInfo. Our SSD, like many others, did not have a temperature sensor, so it showed an ambient temperature of 0 degrees.
