Description
NVIDIA display adapters can have their EEPROM firmware updated with nVFlash Download For Windows. It can also be used to determine the EEPROM component of a display adapter, save a copy of the current firmware image to a file, and display the version of the firmware image.

This utility allows you to update the bios on your NVIDIA graphics card. Be sure to make a copy of your original bios as a safety measure! NVFlash needs to be used in DOS mode when you boot your system. Thus use an MS-DOS boot disk and just copy this tool on it. NVFlash is a powerful utility to flash (update) your NVIDIA graphics card BIOS.

This process includes updating the BCT fields that specify the flashed bootloader location and hash, and re-signing the BCT if required. As such, cbootimage is not needed when using nvflash.
