With the use of RemoveWGA Download For Windows, a tweaking utility created and distributed by Guillaume Kaddouch, a user can disable the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification tool, a program that establishes a connection to Microsoft’s servers every time the user boots the computer. The Genuine Windows check will be performed every two weeks in the next version of this utility. When the MS notification tool has already verified the user’s OS and determined that the copy is legitimate, there is no need to perform further checks.

The Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) Advanced Notification function was designed to alert customers whenever there were modifications made to their Windows installation. Users would be inundated with these alerts if there was even the tiniest change to their setup.

With this program, you won’t be able to make your copy of Windows seem unique, but you can get rid of the annoying alerts and other annoyances that Microsoft included for people who flunked the exam. To avoid any unpleasant surprises while installing updates or downloading programs that attempt to validate our copy of Windows, RemoveWGA is a useful tool to have on hand.

A big clarification is in order, however: RemoveWGA does not stop Windows’ validation system; it just disables notifications and the connections that go with them to Microsoft’s servers.

After the computer is restarted, the application will show a list of files that can be erased. A brief dialogue box letting you know if the patch was successfully deployed is all there is to the software interface. If you’re using Windows 8 or later, you may forget about using this tool, as WGA isn’t included in these operating systems.
