The VST pitch-correction plugin is free to use. The GSnap Download For Windows effect is an automatic tuning tool. A vocal’s pitch can be adjusted gently, or the effect can be amplified to sound robotic. A signal with only one note can be used as input.
The best results from using GSnap are achieved when the input signal is monophonic, loud, and relatively noise-free. A good example would be a monophonic vocal recording free of background noise and echo. After GSnap in the signal chain is where you should put your effect plug-ins.
All of the plug-settings in’s can be adjusted via a set of 12 knobs found on the UI. Each one is clearly labeled up top with its function, and a user-editable description is provided below. In addition to the “fixed” mode of GSnap, there are twelve “switches” next to the pitch data view that correspond to the twelve semitones of a full octave in the Western chromatic scale. Below we’ll go through the differences between the “fixed” and “midi” modes that can be selected using two more toggle switches.
To work with complicated midi data is unnecessary when using GVST. It is programmed to analyze incoming midi data and make any necessary alterations on the fly. Win32 API (application programming interface), managed by Direct X interfaces, is the most used Windows processing engine. Using a regular Windows driver, a GVST plug-in has access to the vast majority of Win32 APIs. Because of this, you can easily exchange GVST control data with other software and other people that use the same software.
If GSnap detects a pitch, it will automatically adjust it to the desired pitch. Fixed-scale and MIDI pitch correction are the two primary methods. While MIDI correction is dynamically regulated by MIDI data, fixed scale correction uses a predetermined set of snap-notes.
