RetroBar Download for windows, as its name suggests, is a program that reverts the modern Windows taskbar to the look of Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me, and XP. The developer claims that the tool is compatible with and performs optimally because it was built on top of ManagedShell, a library used for creating shell replacements in.NET.

Independent software developer dremin aka Sam Johnson made the free tool RetroBar that allows users to make their own interface modifications. The purpose of this program is to provide the familiar look and feel of the original Windows taskbar to computers running Microsoft’s latest desktop OS, Windows 10. You can choose from themes dating back to Windows 95 and even XP!

With RetroBar, you may revert to the traditional look of Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, or XP on your modern Windows system. In order to ensure maximum compatibility and performance, RetroBar is built on the ManagedShell library. There is a trade-off in that it restricts your access to the standard context menu. However, if you find that you need to turn it off immediately, you can do so via the right-click menu.
